Can my friend sleep in my hotel room in Jamaica?

My parents booked 2 rooms for me and my sister and brother for Jamaica this winter. My friend wants to come too but it’s too late to include her in the reservation because my parents already paid for the tickets. It’s way too expensive for my friend to buy her own room. I found out that it’s really cheap if she just gets a flight but rooms with us. Is this legal? She will be buying food from the hotel and stuff. Can she sleep in our room though?
