I have to write a letter to confirm my reservation in a hotel?
March 10th, 2010Anyone know anything about the PanAmerican Hotel in Queens?
March 9th, 2010Can I get a refund from a hotel if I missed the reservation?
March 9th, 2010momstheword78 asked:
I booked a stay at a Super 8 Motel months ago then lost the confirmation number I had written down. I ended up missing the reservation completely and they charged me $90 for it. Every hotel I have ever stayed at does an email confirmation of some sort but, at the time, Super 8 did not tell me that they would not be sending me any kind of confirmation. I called the hotel but they were not only not helpful, but rude. Do I have any case against them or do I have to eat the $90?
In losing the confirmation number, I had no proof of the reservation, nor did I know what date I had booked it for. I was completely lost!

March 4th, 2010Are you supposed to tip a VIP host at a Vegas club?
March 4th, 2010Quake22 asked:
I’m planning a bachelor party and my buddy getting married really wanted to go to a trendy club in Vegas. So, I booked a VIP table w/ bottle service w/ 2 bottles at $400 each. I plan on paying 20% gratuity to the waitress. However, am I also supposed to tip the club’s “VIP host” who simply took my reservation over the phone and will walk us to our table? If so, how much should I tip this guy? It seems a bit absurd, it’s not like people tip the phone operators who help make their hotel room reservations. Why does this guy deserve a tip?

What if a Hotel decides not to honor priceline when you get there?

I read a review of the Super-8 in Williams,AZ that by someone that said they had made a reservation using Priceline. When they got there the manager refused to honor the priceline price and charged them a lot more. What if this happens? Are you screwed? Is there a way to use Priceline and make sure the Hotel will accept the price before booking?
